Homes in Victorville whose minimal building cost are $200,000 are being sold for as low as $39,000. New homes that are at most 2-3 years old are destroyed by neglect, gangs, hoodlums, and drug abuses. Section 8 housing is the norm. Windows are broken, lawns are brown, walls are graffitied, driveays host flat tire, cobwebbed, rusting vehicles.
McMansion housing projects are abandoned and appear as ghost towns. Nearby, a mansion is torched, presumably for an insurance payout. Someone explain to me how fire insurance takes a person out of a mortgage obligation?
