I like the site; came here from Soot and Ashes. The more information there is for people who aren't thinking about the seriousness of what's going on, the better.
If I had to suggest an interesting topic, I'd say pay some attention to the lack of preparation by the government to help the number of people this will effect. The tent cities near Sacramento can happen anywhere. I live in Annapolis, MD and believe strongly that, if by some miracle we don't wind up in the stone age, there will be a huge contraction right down to a local level, and frankly I don't see them doing anything to prepare for and/or educate people about an orderly method for providing people food (Soup) for example: despite knowing in advance what we can expect. Maybe they don't have a plan.
I've heard reference to this economic crisis being Pres. Obama's "Katrina," but it doesn't have to be that way.
I know creating a panic isn't a good idea, but some government websites about where the soup will be set up distribution would be nice. Maybe it will happen slowly and that information will come out over time, but it seems like more and more people are starting to get it, and also getting a little freaked out, including me.

Good luck with the blog.
Like it, post often with content like this and I'll read it! Like your contribution on S$A. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteSoup lines? I'm sure there will be a website where those who go hungry can log into their iphones to check where the nearest soup kitchens will be.
ReplyDeleteWe haven't quite gotten there yet. The hammer hasn't quite come down yet.
